VVKARE Immigration Consultants operates under the authority of the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants (CICC), the federal body responsible for regulating immigration and citizenship consultants across Canada. Karan Chopra, RCIC (R534345), practises in good standing under the CICC Code of Professional Conduct, which sets out binding obligations covering competence, integrity, confidentiality, conflicts of interest, and fair dealing with clients.
Only an individual licensed by the CICC, a lawyer or Quebec notary in good standing with their provincial or territorial law society, or a person acting under a specific statutory exemption may lawfully represent or advise someone for a fee on a Canadian immigration or citizenship matter. Anyone else offering paid immigration advice—sometimes called a 'ghost consultant'—is operating outside the law, carries no professional accountability, and cannot be recognised as your representative by IRCC.
How We Apply the CICC Code
Competence
Advice is given only within the scope of current, verifiable expertise. Where a matter falls outside immigration and citizenship law—tax, family law, or criminal law, for example—clients are referred to an appropriately licensed professional rather than given informal guidance.
No Guaranteed Outcomes
IRCC, not VVKARE, decides every application. The Code prohibits representing or implying that an outcome, approval, or particular processing time is guaranteed, and we do not do so—in marketing, in consultations, or in service agreements.
Informed Consent & Written Agreements
Every engagement is documented in a written service agreement setting out the scope of work, the fee, and what is and is not included, signed before any professional fee is collected.
Confidentiality
Client information is used only for the authorised purpose for which it was provided and is not disclosed to third parties without consent, except where disclosure is required by law or necessary to advance the application.
Conflicts of Interest
Where a conflict exists or could reasonably arise—for example, advising both an employer and a foreign worker on the same file—it is disclosed and managed, or the engagement is declined.
Candour Over Sales
Where an application is unlikely to succeed, or a different pathway serves the client better, that assessment is given plainly—including when it means recommending against paying for our services.
